24 Hours in Santa Fe

Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument, located in a remote section of Carson National Forest, which runs from the north and west of Santa Fe, is an incredible place to hike and explore. The nearest town is Jemez Springs, it's best to bring your own water, sunscreen and food. The national monument includes 4,645 acres of public lands located 40 miles southwest of Santa Fe. From town, take the Cochiti Pueblo Exit 264 off I-25 onto NM 16. Turn right off NM 16 onto NM 22, and follow the signs to Cochiti Pueblo and the national monument.
